Today students experimented with getting their marble to travel around a loop by changing the start height and the height of the loop. We will discuss tomorrow how changing the start height affects the potential and kinetic energy before beginning to build our "full size" marble coasters.

Today we started a roller coaster lab that will take us several days to complete. Students were provided notes that they must either color or summarize by tomorrow. Today we took data that we will analyze tomorrow to determine energy transformations within a rollercoaster.
Today students were given a "Permission to Tape" form that needs to be returned ASAP! Thank you for your help!
We are going to hit the ground running this week by delving into ENERGY! There are a lot of fun things associated with this subject so we will need to get our thinking caps on tight to push through! Students will be bringing home permission forms to be filmed in class for my current National Board Certification module. I would love it if each and every one of them could participate in the video because it provides an accurate glimpse of our classroom and how we do what we do! See you tomorrow!
