Students worked together completing puzzles that had them match scientific notation to standard form today using their notebooks. I will post the notes once we finish them tomorrow!
Today students learned the "secret" was a super absorbent polymer called sodium polyacrylate. We then completed notes on precision and accuracy before beginning scientific notation. If you need extra help with scientific notation, check the video tutorial above to see if it helps! Otherwise, please come see me before school or during 4th period. There will be a quiz tomorrow on making observations, asking questions, and forming hypotheses! Check the notes below if you missed them!
There was no internet here at the school yesterday afternoon, so this post is just a little late! We completed the Fingerprint Lab today, making observations about our own fingerprints and then completed notes and an activity about spiders based qualitative and quantitative observations.
Today in Physical Science, we worked on setting up our science notebooks and our science data notebooks. If you forgot your science notebook or your folder, check the pictures below to help you set it up at home. If you need help setting up your science notebook, please come see me during 4th period one day this week. The first page in your SN (science notebook) needs to be your title page and should have both your first and last name as well as the words "Fall 2015". You can feel free to decorate this page however you would like. The next two pages of your SN will be used for your reference sheet and your science calendar. Following those pages, you should glue in your restroom passes and your retake pass. Then you should begin your Table of Contents. There will be five pages in the ToC labeled A-E.
Finally, you should begin numbering your pages at 1. Be sure to number front AND back. For example, the front would be page 1, the back would be page 2, the next page would be 3, and the back of that page would be 4.
