Today students worked with the periodic table to determine the number of protons, neutrons, and electrons in an atom based on the information found only on the periodic table. We will be taking a quiz on this information on TUESDAY of next week! Students should know the meaning of APE MAN and also know the location of the metalloids, nonmetals, and metals on the periodic table.

Today students learned about differences in metals, nonmetals, and metalloids. They also participated in an atom sorting review to refresh their memory before we begin working with atoms on the periodic table. Tomorrow we will continue with the APE MAN strategy and complete a Pasta Atom lab!
