Today we took a little time to review over the phase changes we noticed when we worked with dry ice earlier in the week. Students learned the formal name for this is sublimation. We also looked at all of the other phase changes that occur, and learned about endothermic and exothermic processes. Finally, we spent time discussing and putting into words what actually happened in our dry ice experiments. Tomorrow on our shortened schedule, I hope to review Charles's law with an experiment and work with dry ice more next week! |
