We started the periodic table earlier this week and learned that all elements can be sorted into one of three groups. Elements that are shiny and good conductors are metals. Elements that are dull and not good conductors are nonmetals. Elements that display both properties are metalloids. We also learned about Dmitri Mendeleev and the information each box on the periodic table holds. Next week we will continue learning about reactivity and delve into bonding! Check out the video about Mendeleev! | |
