Yesterday we started working with the periodic table by coloring the metals, nonmetals, and metalloids that can be found on the table. Students then worked with a candy lab where they used proton Skittles, neutron M&Ms, and electron Nerds to help them learn to how to use the table and how atoms are arranged. Today we took a few notes on metals, nonmetals, metalloids, and isotopes. Students were also given a concept map to fill out. (I'll post this tomorrow with the answers) Don't forget we have a SCIENCE TEST coming up on Thursday. We will review in class tomorrow after we go over answers for the last test.
